In the heart of the Bunny Rabbit Kingdom, where clover grew tall and carrots were plentiful, ruled King Bunny Big Fluff. Known for his magnificent tail and even more magnificent ego, King Fluff one day issued a proclamation that sent shockwaves through the warrens.
"Hear ye, hear ye!" bellowed the Royal Crier, his nose twitching nervously. "By order of

, sharing is hereby FORBIDDEN! Each bunny shall play only with their own toys, and what is thine shall remain thine… and thine alone!"
The kingdom gasped. The littlest bunnies, the fluffiest bunnies, the bunnies with the most buck teeth, all gasped. This new rule was a disaster.
The little boy bunnies, who loved nothing more than a rousing game of Bunny Baseball, were in despair. Only Bartholomew Buttons had a baseball and bat. He stood on a small mound of dirt, clutching his bat like a prized carrot, while the other bunnies looked on mournfully. No one could bat, no one could catch, no one could even argue about who was up next.
The little girl bunnies fared no better. They yearned for their elaborate tea parties, gossiping about the best dandelion sandwiches and who had the fluffiest tail bow. But only Penelope Petal had a full tea set, complete with tiny carrot-shaped sugar cubes. The other bunnies could only watch wistfully as Penelope poured imaginary tea into imaginary cups, the fun diluted by the knowledge that they were missing out.
The Bunny Rabbit Kingdom was a place of grumpy faces and unplayed games. Something had to be done. One particularly clever little bunny named Stumpytail, known for his quick wit and even quicker hops, hatched a plan. He gathered the other children bunnies in secret, whispering his idea in hushed tones behind a giant mushroom.
The following morning, King Bunny Big Fluff emerged from his royal burrow, his whiskers twitching with anticipation for a day of solitary, toy-filled bliss. He spotted a large, tempting-looking carrot cake sitting on a picnic blanket in the middle of the royal garden.
"Aha!" he exclaimed, his eyes widening. "Someone must have left this for… ME!"
He hopped over, licking his lips in anticipation. Just as he was about to sink his teeth into the sugary goodness, the children bunnies emerged from behind the rose bushes.
"Good morning, King Bunny Big Fluff!" they chorused, their eyes twinkling.
"Ah, good day!" King Fluff replied, eager to get back to his cake. "What can I do for you?"
"Well," said Stumpytail innocently, "we thought you might like to share the cake with us."
King Fluff's ears drooped slightly. "Share? But… my proclamation! No sharing!"
"But King," chirped Penelope Petal, batting her long eyelashes. "You have the cake. And you're King, so it's YOUR cake. You don't have to share if you don't want to."
King Fluff looked at the cake. He looked at the bunnies, a mixture of hope and apprehension on their fluffy faces. He looked back at the cake. He thought of his new rule, the one that said everything was exclusively his. But suddenly, the thought of eating the entire cake alone seemed… boring.
"Well," he mumbled, his voice barely audible, "I suppose… I could… maybe… have a tiny slice first."
He took a large bite, his royal whiskers covered in frosting. Then he looked at the bunnies, their eyes still trained on him.
"Alright, alright!" he boomed, his voice regaining its kingly volume. "I suppose… we can share… a little."
The bunnies erupted in cheers, grabbing paper plates and happily devouring the cake. But King Bunny Big Fluff found he wasn't enjoying it as much as he thought he would. It was… dry. He needed something to wash it down.
"Does anyone have anything to drink?" he asked, clearing his throat.
Silence.
Stumpytail spoke up, his voice very polite. "Oh, King, we’re so sorry, but we all used up our juice boxes this morning. And because we're not allowed to share, we can't offer you any of ours."
King Fluff’s ears drooped even further. His mouth felt like a desert. He looked at their innocent faces, and a slow understanding began to dawn.
"I… I see," He mumbled, realizing the full impact of his selfish proclamation.
The next day, the Royal Crier was out again, his nose twitching even more nervously than before.
"Hear ye, hear ye!" he announced. "By order of King Bunny Big Fluff, the previous proclamation regarding sharing is… rescinded! Henceforth, all bunnies shall share whenever they can, for sharing is caring, and caring is… well, it's very good! Long live the King!"
The Bunny Rabbit Kingdom erupted in joyous cheers. The little boy bunnies raced off to Bartholomew Buttons' burrow, eager to finally play Bunny Baseball. The little girl bunnies gathered at Penelope Petal's burrow, ready for the grandest tea party the kingdom had ever seen.
As for King Bunny Big Fluff, he learned a valuable lesson that day. He still enjoyed having his own things, but he realized that true joy came from sharing and playing with his fellow bunnies. And occasionally, he even let Bartholomew Buttons borrow the royal crown for batting practice. After all, what was a king without his kingdom of happy, sharing bunnies?
